We have now received confirmation from our steel suppliers that the cost price of our raw materials will increase again from 16th April 2008.
As a consequence of their actions we will be increasing the price of all reinforcement products by a further £70.00 per tonne for all deliveries from Wednesday 16th April 2008.
Our local Depot Representatives will contact you accordingly to discuss the effect of this on existing orders.
With our steel supply subject to global influences in terms of cost and market supply our suppliers are changing the nature of our business relationship with particular reference to credit limits and payment terms.
This will place additional pressure on our working capital requirements and therefore, to ensure that we are in a position to provide continuity of supply and service, will force us to review our existing credit and payment terms.
We will contact you in due course to discuss the impact of these changes to existing trading terms.
The unprecedented conditions surrounding scrap supply mean that further increases in the coming months are inevitable and as always we will keep you informed of further price movement as information becomes available.
Yours sincerely
Robert Holton
Regional Director
