General Statement Of Health & Safety Policy
The Rom Group Ltd (the Company) declares that it will strictly adhere to the Health and Safety Policy set out herein.
The Company shall:
- Ensure that, at all times, all activities comply fully with all health, safety and other relevant legislation and regulations;
- Establish and maintain a Safety Management System in accordance with the �best practice� standards accepted in the UK;
- Define a management structure with detailed responsibilities for the management of health and safety issues and provide sufficient resources for adherence to this Policy;
- Identify, assess, minimise and regularly review all risks associated with all Company activities, and prevent accidents and situations which are hazardous to health;
- Ensure that all procedures and work instructions are fully documented and communicated to all relevant employees and contractors;
- Ensure that all employees are competent and well trained in all skills necessary to carry out their work in a safe manner, especially where it incorporates any accepted best practice;
- Ensure that all employees understand their own responsibilities for maintaining a safe working environment and preventing accidents;
- Ensure that all contractors are fully competent to carry out the activities required of them and that, where necessary, they are trained in the Company's procedures;
- Establish a system (including internal audits) for checking that all company activities adhere to the appropriate standards and that remedial actions are initiated where non-conformities are identified;
- Endeavour to continuously improve its health and safety performance;
- Make this Policy available to all employees, contractors, suppliers, regulatory authorities, neighbours and the general public.
