Heavily reinforced basement slab consisting of ROM Prefabricated Pile Cages and Ground Beams, a bottom layer of ROM Prefabricated One Way Mats T25 Bars at 150mm c/c in the slab, a top layer of ROM Kwikfix Fabric T12 Bars at 150 c/c in the slab, Standard ROM Cut and Bent Bar at various locations, Standard Mesh on upper slabs. Also a selection of accessories including Tying Wire, Conc. Spacers, Plastic Spacers, DPM and Wire Spacers.
Specific issues / problems
A combination of a shortage of steel fixers in the area and a tight City Centre location meant ROM's Complete Value Added service proved essential to the success of the project. Just on time deliveries of over 450 Tonnes of Reinforcement in various forms (as detailed) in the basement foundations/slab helped the Subcontractor complete the package ahead of schedule and under cost.
